Pink bow

Sarah is having so much fun playing lately! She'll crack herself up sometimes. (And Mommy & Daddy too!) She knows how to work all the musical toys, but her favorite is playing with her keys. So much fun!!

Sippy cup

Sarah is learning how to drink juice from her sippy cup! She also is trying different kinds of baby foods, and so far I think her favorite is butternut squash, although she did enjoy the prunes pretty well too.
Go Sarah!

We had a fun weekend, and Steve brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and took me out to dinner for my birthday. Thank you for everything Honey!!

Mother's Day in Mt Shasta

We visited Grandpa & Grandma Wagner in Mt. Shasta for Mother's Day. It was Sarah's first long trip, and she did really well, and we all had a lot of fun!

My Aunt Ann and Uncle Leroy were there as well, and Sarah had fun seeing all of the new faces and new places. She was very curious about their dogs Misty and Julie, and had fun exploring in the garden too. (She even got to sit on the big tractor on Grandma's lap!)

We all had a fun weekend, and Sarah even did really well in the car too, and slept a lot of the way.

Here is a video of Sarah playing at Grandpa & Grandma's house:
(It's long, so it may take a little time to load.)

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

I heard this song by Steven Curtis Chapman today that I'd like to dedicate to all the Mother's out there. May God bless you, and may you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

"One Heartbeat at a Time "
by Steven Curtis Chapman

You're up all night with a screaming baby
You run all day at the speed of life
And every day you feel a little bit less
Like the beautiful woman you are

So you fall into bed when you run out of hours
And you wonder if anything worth doing got done
Oh, maybe you just don't know
Or maybe you've forgotten

You, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
Making history with every touch and every smile
Oh, you, you may not see it now
But I believe that time will tell
How you, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time

With every "I know you can do it"
Every tear that you kiss away
So many little things that seem to go unnoticed
They're just like the drops of rain over time
They become a river

You're beautiful
You're beautiful
How you're changing the world
You're changing the world

You, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
Making history with every touch and every smile
Oh, you, you may not see it now
But I believe that time will tell
How you, you are changing the world
Oh, I believe that you
You are changing the world
One little heartbeat
At a time

And you're changing the world

Tahoe trip & 2-year Anniversary

On April 26th & 27th Steve and I went up to Tahoe for a weekend get-away to celebrate our 2-year Wedding Anniversary.
Click HERE to see the rest of our pictures from our trip.

We had so much fun! The weather was perfect and the drive was great and it wasn't crowded at all. We hiked down to Vikingsholm on Saturday. They don't start giving tours until Memorial Day, but we still had fun walking around the beautiful home and the beach area. On Saturday night for dinner Steve took me to Villa Roma in South Lake Tahoe. The food was fantastic. Then we spent a little time contributing to Nevada's general fund at Harrah's, but didn't win anything to take back to California.

On Sunday we hiked around the lake for a while, then went on a 2-hour cruise across Lake Tahoe on the M.S. Dixie II. After the cruise Steve surprised me with lunch at The Beacon Bar & Grill, right on the water. The whole weekend was really fun, and it was great to get out of town for a bit and just relax!

And a big THANK YOU to Grandpa & Grandma Wagner, who stayed with Sarah while we were gone!
