The Elizabeth Gamble Gardens... (in Palo Alto, CA)
I painted this over the course of 2 Saturdays in a Sierra College Community Education class, and it took about 8 hours. This was my very first time ever trying painting of any kind, and it was a lot of fun. My teacher was Margot Comer, and she is an amazingly talented artist and wonderful instructor.

5-Year Anniversary of Blog
I can't believe I started this blog exactly 5 years ago today!
When I started this blog, Sarah wasn't even quite 3 months old yet, and now she's 5 years old and getting so big! She's growing up way too fast!
It's true what they say, time really does go much faster once you have kids! We have had so much fun these past 5 years, and I'm glad I was able to share a bit of the fun here with you.

SuperBowl 2013
We watched the SuperBowl yesterday, and it was one of the weirdest SuperBowl games I have ever seen!
It was the Baltimore Ravens against the San Francisco 49ers. The Ravens were ahead 28 to 6 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, and it was just getting ugly. Then half the lights in the stadium went out. For 20 minutes. What?!! The 49ers must have gotten a little inspiration or something though, because they came back fighting, and the score was 28 to 23. But they just couldn't quite pull it off. The final score was 34 to 31, and the Ravens won.
Neither of us won anything on our office pools, but it was still fun to watch. There were a few good commercials, and it was just nice to sit back and relax and watch the game.

Bannister Park - February 2013
It was a perfect day to go for a walk in the park!
The weather was wonderful, and everything is so green right now.
We brought bread to feed the ducks, and ended up feeding geese and a whole flock of birds!
It was a beautiful, perfect day!

Candy Store Puzzle
Grandpa and Grandma Wagner came down for a quick visit this weekend.
Sarah and Grandma worked a puzzle together, and they took her to the Sacramento Childrens' Museum while Steve and I went to lunch and a movie.

New glasses
Steve and Sarah and I were watching TV the other day, and I couldn't read any of the small print. Steve and Sarah could BOTH read it! So I decided it was probably past time to get my eyes checked, and sure enough, glasses were prescribed...
I am amazed at how clear everything is now!! I can see all the tiny little leaves on the trees!

Butterfly Bathroom
I got a gift certificate for Christmas to Hobby Lobby, so I decided to buy prints and frames, and make our downstairs guest bathroom into a "butterfly" bathroom:
And a little something for the laundry room!
Thanks for hanging everything up Honey!!

Skyrim
I know I'm a bit late to the party, since Skyrim has been out for a while now, but I decided to try it out. So far, it's a lot of fun!

Playing at Grammy Jan's
Sarah had so much fun swinging and playing outside
Playing dress-up in new Princess dresses...
And wearing new princess makeup...
It even snowed for a few hours while we were there!
