Mom's 60th Birthday party!

Happy 60th Birthday Mom!!
We had a surprise party for her yesterday at Jon and Rachel's.
(She didn't know Grandpa and Grandma Ramseier were going to be there!)
We made our own pizzas, played games, and had cake and ice cream.

Fun was had by all!

Sarah's favorite iPhone apps

There are so many great iPhone apps for toddlers out now! The page above shows all of Sarah's apps. She especially loves the one called the "LunchBox" app, which has a monkey that dances when she figures out the answers to different puzzles. She now knows how to do the 8-card matching game, and several puzzles all on her own!

She also really likes the Dora the Explorer app, and the Old Mac app.

She has so much fun with them, and is learning how to use a little mini-computer already! She even knows how to do the "drag-and-drop" puzzle part of one of the apps.

Sarah's 2nd Haircut

"Before" picture... (just needed a trim to even-out everything)...

We went to CJ's Cuts for Kids, and Natalie cut her hair again. (She is one of the nicest, most patient people I have ever met!! Sarah seems to like her too.) They have a lot of cool toys for the kids to play with in the waiting area.
Sarah did really well. She only cried for a minute, and then started just looking around trying to figure the whole thing out. And at the end, she even started grinning! When we went to leave, she ran around to everyone and said, "BYE!"... grinning the whole time!

The bow actually stayed in her hair the whole day, but the cute curls only lasted an hour or two.

Good job Sarah!!!

Up in the Air (movie date!)

Yesterday Steve and I went on a movie-matinee-lunch-date! It was so much fun!!

We dropped Sarah off at KidsPark, (and she took off running toward the giant slide and didn't look back), and then went to a matinee of "Up in the Air". It was very good, and the kind of movie that really makes you think for a while afterward about life, and made me very thankful for the people in my life! After the movie we went to Lucille's Smokehouse for lunch. I had the BBQ chicken and rib tips, and Steve had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of ribs. YUMMY!!

When we went to pick up Sarah, she didn't even notice we were there for quite a while, then after I gave her a big hug she pointed to the play area and said, "Go Play? Go Play?" She didn't want to leave!

We had a great weekend!!

Jammin' January

We had a fun, relaxing weekend! Sarah had fun playing, and we visited the mall and rode the "horsey" carousel twice today! She is a really good horsey rider, and holds on tight and says, "whee!!". Then when the horsey stops, she says, "goodnight horsey!"

She has fun just seeing all of the sights and sounds of the carousel, and the mall, and all the other kids running and playing in the play area.

She loves to count, and now counts to 14 in English, and up to 9 in Spanish! Go Sarah!!

Happy New Year 2010!!

Wow, I can't believe a whole decade has gone by since Y2K. It's crazy how fast the last 10 years have gone by!

Last night we stayed home and relaxed. We had salmon for dinner, watched the "Star Trek" movie, and watched the ball drop in NYC. Today we slept in, and then Sarah and I went to the Mall. She got to ride the carousel twice, and we had fun walking around.

Tonight and tomorrow we're relaxing, and are planning on going on a date on Sunday to have lunch and watch Avatar in 3-D!
